Position and Responsibilities
Cameco's environmental affairs team within the corporate safety, health, environment, quality and regulatory relations department is focused on supporting Cameco to continually improve and communicate environmental performance. In support of these activities you will be responsible to:
Evaluate the energy use of industrial systems and analyze and interpret energy or greenhouse gas (GHG) emission data from industrial systems to identify improvement opportunities
Measure and verify energy or GHG reductions associated with improvement initiatives
Assist in the prioritization and implementation of energy metering and monitoring improvements including visual displays
Assist in GHG emission reporting for various purposes
You are an effective problem solver, collaborator and communicator that can work effectively within teams to achieve business objectives. You have demonstrated an ability to calculate energy consumption or GHG emissions from commercial and/or industrial sites and to assess and evaluate energy conservation opportunities. You have strong data analysis and interpretation skills and will demonstrate a proficiency to learn new software quickly. Excellent oral and written communication skills are important to maintain professional relationships at all the operating sites within the various divisions
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
Bachelors degree in relevant applied science or engineering field
Three or more years of relevant experience
Experience in energy management information systems, energy metering, energy auditing, measurement and verification, and/or greenhouse gas emission reporting of industrial systems or buildings
Familiarity with Canadian and Saskatchewan regulations governing GHG emissions
