Dynamo Electric is one of Saskatchewans fastest growing and most specialized electrical contractors providing design-build and maintenance services to utilities and industrial clients seeking power and control solutions.
Our Electrical Services Department requires the services of an Electrical Estimator. Often working alongside our Engineering, Manufacturing and Technical Service teams, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing accurate estimates on multiple projects. Preference will be given to persons with experience in industrial and/or high voltage substation settings
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects; analyze drawings, specifications and bid documentation, data collection, quantity takeoffs, possible site trips, formulating questions and participating in multi-discipline scope meetings.
- Maintain accurate files and backup data to support estimates.
- Prepare handover packages to communicate estimate details, assumptions, exceptions, and expectations to those executing the work.
- Maintain and grow client relationships.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree, diploma in the related field or journeyman red seal ticket.
5 years experience in project coordination and estimating.
- Must possess strong computer and MS Office skills, Word, Excel, MS Project
- Experience with Accubid BidWinner or similar software would be an asset.
- You will need to demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and work under tight time constraints.
- Current valid Drivers License & Drivers Abstract required.
