Description

Palliser Plains Co-op Association Ltd. is a friendly retail located in the south-central region of Saskatchewan servicing the communities of Central Butte, Craik, Shamrock, Tugaske and surrounding area.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Central Butte Home Centre Manager will be responsible for the strategic direction and overall leadership of the Home Centre.  The Home Centre Manager will effectively and efficiently manage the development and direction of the Home Centre team to drive growth in revenue and productivity and promote high quality guest satisfaction. This individual will be responsible for the integration of strategic plans with company operations and ensuring team members are following recommended programs, guidelines, policies and procedures while respecting safety and asset protection standards.

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

    5 years of experience in management in a retail environment, including supervisory experience
    Tronia Point of Sale knowledge preferred
    Retail experience in the areas of marketing, member relations, selling, OHS, ordering, receiving, and asset maintenance and management is required
    A clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, and procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization
    Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
    High level of integrity and accountability
    Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
    A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
    Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays where necessary

The successful candidate must demonstrate effective team leadership skills and the ability to work well within multi-generational teams.  They must also possess a positive, ambitious attitude, with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal talents.
