Responsibilities will include:
Management and recording of regular accounts receivable billings and receipts.
Recording of school generated fund receipts in accounting system.
Perform selected regular Payroll functions in co-operation with Payroll Clerk.
Perform selected year-end Payroll functions in co-operation with Payroll Clerk.
Perform selected regular accounting, control, and reporting functions in co-operation with the Chief Financial Officer.
Assist Chief Financial Officer with year-end external audit process.
Provide role backup function for Payroll and Accounts Payable.
Perform selected Preventative Maintenance and Renewal database maintenance activities in co-operation with the Facilities Manager.
Perform accounting for, and regular reporting of, School Community Council transactions.
Maintain general ledger set of accounts.
Provide required reporting for Workers Compensation claims.
Provide required reporting for insurance purposes.
Training and Experience Requirements:
Successful completion of Grade 12 together with a diploma or certificate from a provincially recognized technical institution or university.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, including accrual accounting.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with Payroll.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
Basic understanding of internal audit procedures.
