Facility: Royal University Hospital
Job Description: The Real Time Demand and Capacity (RTDC) Coordinators will report to an acute inpatient care manager. The RTDC Coordinators will ensure continued patient flow through weekends by assisting the units with complex discharges and system flow issues after the coordinator has handed over. This position is also accountable for focused quality improvement projects.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Current CPR Certification
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years recent acute care nursing experience, three (3) of which must be in Mental Health and Addiction Services.
Supervisory experience would be an asset

Knowledge of the role of the specific clinical area within the entire health system
Knowledge of critical thinking processes in order to creatively solve problems in an open and resourceful manner
Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques
Ability to function as a role model for staff and physicians

Demonstrated unit-specific clinical competence
Demonstrates the ability to be a system thinker
