This Casual position works a variety of shifts, 12:00pm-9:00 pm and 9:00pm-7:00am and 7:00am to 12:00 pm. Shifts may include weekdays and weekends. Needing availability seven days per week and for night shifts. The position is responsible for:
- providing support counselling, advocacy, information, and referrals as necessary;
- implementing services and programs provided by Southwest Crisis Services;
- general maintenance of the Safe Shelter;
- administrative functions;and
- on-call shift fill in
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 or GED equivalent is required.
- One year post-secondary education or significant experience in social services or human services field is preferred.
- An understanding of and sensitivity to issues relevant to family violence, particularly violence against women.
- Ability and desire to work well with others.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Valid driver's license.
