David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit for a Senior Accountant, North Battleford, SK.
The Senior Accountant will provide general accounting services for the ancillary companies managed by their organization, including but not limited to hospitality and lodging, private companies, and holding companies.  If you are a self-motivated, organized individual who is prepared to handle a variety of accounting functions and responsibilities, then this is the ideal opportunity for you!

Job Duties Include:
Preparation of journal entries, invoices, deposits, cheque requests, account reconciliations, allocations, and coding of invoices
Payroll remittances for all entities
Ensuring overall  maintenance  of  accounts payable, accounts  receivable and general ledgers
Preparation of GST/PST returns
Monitoring bank balances and cash flow
Drafting monthly and annual financial statements, and corporate tax returns for approval by the Director of Finance
Preparing year-end working paper files for multiple companies
Government remittances
Other projects and duties as required

The Ideal Candidate:
CPA designation (or close to completion)
3-5 years related work experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience or knowledge of  QuickBooks would be an asset
High level of accuracy and analytical ability
Enthusiastic, team-oriented and driven
Ability to creatively solve problems
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple demands
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
