David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our valued client, in the mining industry, to recruit for an experienced payroll professional, during a payroll system upgrade and employee absence.
Key deliverables include processing hourly and salary payrolls in a timely, accurate manner, responding to queries in a timely fashion, and assisting with month-end reports.
The Role:
Completes hourly and salary semi-monthly payroll for 380 people through a combination of data uploads and manual adjustments to ADP software
Maintains effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ensures Company Policy and Saskatchewan Labour Standards are adhered to
Works closely with HR department to process changes to employee profiles
Monitors time and attendance system to proactively minimize problems
Prepares month-end statistical reports from ADP and time & attendance software
Ensures timely remittance of employee deductions, and payroll taxes
Assist in the administration of benefit programs
Assists accountants in the reconciliation of payroll accounts
Maintains confidentiality at all times
The Ideal Candidate:
Canadian Payroll Association CPC certification or equivalent, and a minimum of 3 years of experience processing payroll in a medium to large organization
Strong organizational and communication skills and proficiency with ADP, Outlook, and Excel software are essential
The ability to create effective procedures in a fast-paced, changing environment would be an asset
