Job Description: The Medical Services Division of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency is accepting applications for the Permanent, full-time position of Director, Medical Affairs.
Reporting to the Vice President Medical Services and Senior Medical Officer, this position is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of policies, procedures, programs and initiatives that advance the strategic directions of the organization through physician leadership, physician engagement, physician resource planning, medical administration and the integration of medical services among and within teams.  The position also provides direction and leadership to Agency programs that fall within the Medical Services division including the Provincial Hematology Program.
The position partners with Vice Presidents, Directors and Managers to embed integrated clinical teams and supports these individuals and teams through advice, leadership, facilitation and mediation with respect to the physician components.
The position oversees and directs medical human resource and administrative matters including but not restricted to physician resource planning, recruitment, retention, credentialing and privileging, contract negotiations and investigation/discipline.
The position collaborates with Directors and Vice-Presidents in other Divisions to develop, deploy and evaluate strategic plans, programs and policies, both new initiatives and modifications to existing programs and policies with specific leadership to programs within the Medical Services Division such as the Provincial Hematology Program.
