Description

Vendasta is seeking a Website Support Specialist & Developer to act as the line of defence in supporting Vendastas partners with technical support for websites created using our WebsitePro product. Our ideal candidate will thoroughly understand the ins-and-outs of DNS, SSL, caching, WordPress and web hosting; be able to write FAQs, help articles, and blog posts; and help our users thrive with WebsitePro with their demonstrated expertise in development & WordPress.

Responsibilities
Work closely with Vendastas Partner Success and development teams to super-serve and solve technical issues related to websites created through WebsiteProinteracting directly with customers over email, chat, phone, and video calls as needed
Work with users to identify and fix broken plugins, themes, and sites with ease for Vendastas partners or their SMBs
Develop solutions for identified technical issues using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Create and contribute to resource content in the form of FAQs, help articles, blog posts, and etc. to address solutions & strategies that help users thrive with WebsitePro
Maintain product knowledge and awareness of developments (being able to brief partners as necessary)
Coordinate feedback from partners on product development suggestions
Utilize CRM software to manage interactions with customers

Qualifications
3+ years experience working and developing PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS based systems; experience developing/supporting eCommerce websites considered a strong asset
1-2 years experience working directly with customers
Demonstrated expertise in DNS, SSL, caching, and web hosting
Degree/diploma in computer science, computer engineering, or the like considered an asset
High standards of performance for self; assuming responsibility and accountability for success
Ability to deal effectively with others, using appropriate interpersonal styles
Nice to have but not mandatory experience in developing on the Wordpress platform.
