HMCS QUEEN, Reginas Naval Reserve Division offers part-time and full time employment as part of the Royal Canadian Navy. We are an excellent opportunity for students looking to supplement their income during the school year where we work Thursday evenings as required and 2 Saturdays/month, Sept-Apr. We then offer full time employment during the summer months, May-August. There is also obligatory service.

Public Affairs Officers are employed to provide communications advice at the all levels and act as key advisors to military commanders during operations. Those employed on a part-time or casual full-time basis usually serve at Forces bases, wings, home ports, and units at locations within Canada.

Analyze and evaluate attitudes in the national and international media
Contribute to policy development
Gather and provide information internally and externally
Communicate with journalists, special interest groups, and individuals regarding defense

Minimum requirements to apply online:

Be 16-56 years of age (parental consent required under 18)
Be a Canadian Citizen
Must have or currently be pursuing a baccalaureate degree in communications, international relations, public relations, or journalism OR have a masters degree in any discipline
