Role: Journeyman Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic
Location: Tisdale, Saskatchewan
Position: Full-time permanent
Description:
Reporting to the Shop Foreman, the main duties and responsibilities include:
Inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul and repair of various components of a variety of heavy-duty trucks and equipment, equipped with diesel engines and automatic or manual transmissions
Requisition parts, materials and equipment as needed
Complete detailed, clear and concise work orders
Assist Shop Manager and other technicians in checking and diagnosing mechanical faults of trucks and equipment
Maintain order, cleanliness, work output and safe working conditions in work areas
Work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
Demonstrate effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes
Qualifications:
Journeyman Heavy Truck Technician Certificates
o Journeyman (Preferred)
o Trade Certificate (Preferred)
o Class 1 Air endorsement (Preferred)
2-5 years of experience as Heavy Truck / Equipment Mechanic
Highly flexible and able to work well under pressure
Strong attention to detail
Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times

- Keep maintenance reports and documentation
