Swayze Concrete Ltd is accepting applications for the position of Assistanct Controller. The Controller leads financial operations and ensures that administrative information and systems are in keeping with corporate objectives. The successful candidate will be a values-driven, results focused individual capable of producing financial results and successfully coaching and overseeing administrative employees. This position comes with a mentoring period as our current Controller is moving into retirement but is still available to see this transition period through.
Job Overview:
Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable
Prepare month-end, quarterly reporting and year-end consolidated financial statements.
Provide reports for management.
Set up and audit financial and administrative systems.
Oversee general office functions.
Monitor key performance indicators
Assess/assist in the selection and implementation of a new accounting software package for Swayze Concrete locations
Requirements:
3-5 years post designation experience.
Supervisory experience.
Relative education (ie: degree in accounting discipline, CPA designation).
Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles specific to manufacturing.
Familiarity of Simply accounting, with high levels skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
The ability to monitor and enforce multi-team project deadlines and reporting.
Initiative in problem solving.
Strong business sense.
The ability to self-teach.
