Description

The Working Foreman will provide leadership and is responsible for the management of the Public Works department in coordination with Council's and the Administrator's directives.  Along with Council and administrator, the Working Foreman will plan, organize, direct and evaluate the activities and personnel involved in maintaining, repairing and constructing the municipal road infrastructure and supporting facilities. The working foreman is responsible for developing and implementing a work program to support the policies and goals established by the Council.  
The successful applicant will:
1-    Have supervisory/leadership skills and better than average organizational and communication skills.
2-    Have considerable experience operating grader, loader, tractor, excavator, dozer and motor scraper.
3-    Possess a valid Class 1A Drivers Licence.
4-    Have mechanical aptitude.
5-    Provide a clean commercial drivers abstract every year.
6-    Have good computer skills.
7-    Have safety tickets, such as First Aid, PME, WHMIS, OHC Level 1 and 2, etc.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively manage employees to realize their full potential.
