Sunnyside is an affiliate of the Saskatchewan Health Authority.  We provide level 3 & 4 long term care for 97 residents within a nurturing Christian environment.    

We have vacancies for casual LPN's.  This job entails provision of continuing care for residents of all ages, although typically residents are over the age of 65.  This will be accomplished by providing direction and nursing care, leading the nursing team to achieve a high quality of resident care with emphasis on maintenance of health, independence, life satisfaction, overall comfort while acknowledging the personal rights of residents.  It includes ensuring at all times the safety of residents and staff, by providing leadership and supervision to care aides regarding both resident safety and workplace safety.
The LPN assumes responsibility for the care centre with respect to delivery of care and initiating of emergency protocols when administration staff are not present - or after normal office hours.  This position reports to the Director of Care.  An ability to communicate effectively with families and the health care team is required.  The individual must possess a progressive and innovative approach to long term care.
    
Applicants must be a current member of the SALPN. Rate per hour is 33.73 to 36.13 (as per SEIU).
