JOB DESCRIPTION
a)promote exercise and activity for all residents
b)organize community involvement within the facility (during non-covid times)
c)organize activities of interest to the residents
b)recognize the cultural, religious and ethnic differences of each resident (during non-covid times)
c)spend quality time one-on-one with each resident
d)assists with any group that may be entertaining in the facility (during non-covid times)
e)organize outings within the community and elsewhere that are of interest to the residents (during non-covid times)
f)plan and write up the monthly activity calendar so that residents and their families know what to expect and plan for the month
EDUCATION (Employee to pay):
a)must possess and maintain a current Standard First Aid Course
b)must obtain a Personal Care Worker Certificate, or have a Continuing Care Aide or Personal Support Worker Certificate
c)must obtain a Food Safe or Food Handlers Certificate
d)must obtain a clear (or acceptable) Criminal Record Check upon hire, and every 3 years afterwards
e)must have the Transferring, Lifting, Repositioning (TLR) certificate (no charge), or obtain within 3 months of hire
f)must have the Professional Assault Response Training (no charge), or obtain within 3 months of hire
g)must have current WHMIS (no charge) certificate, or obtain within 3 months of hire
