Description

Permanent 0.6 - 1.0 FTE. May include evenings and weekends. All clinic sites.

DUTIES:
To provide occupational therapy services to clients of the Community Clinic.  
Provision of a range of community-based occupational therapy services in accordance with departmental and CHSA goals, priorities and resources, as well as in keeping with Occupational Therapy professional guidelines.
Work in collaboration with CHSA health care team and community agencies to meet client and organizational goals.
Participate in clinical case conferences where appropriate.
Maintain documentation of occupational performance process in health records and statistical records and in keeping with professional guidelines and CHSA policies.
Maintain and upgrade knowledge and skills in keeping with needs of the client population, organization, and in keeping with changes in the profession.
Offer education to clients, staff, and community in areas of occupational therapists expertise and skills.
Provide work-site and ergonomic assessment to clinic staff, where appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensure with the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapy (SSOT).
Graduate of Occupational Therapy program from an accredited occupational therapy program, or equivalent, as recognized by SSOT.
Two years experience preferred in provision of occupational therapy services to a variety of clients with a diverse range of needs.
Advanced skills and training in community-based care and specialized populations.
Ability to be self-directed and work independently.
Must have malpractice insurance.
Must have a valid drivers license and be able to provide own reliable transportation.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal and collaborative communication skills and attitude.
Knowledge of, and compatibility with, the philosophy and policies of CHSA.
Must be bondable.
