Description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Executive Director for CHEP Good Food Inc., a nationally recognized food security program in Saskatoon. The Executive Director must have knowledge and sensitivity regarding Indigenous culture and should be familiar with issues related to food security and poverty reduction. CHEP Good Food promotes and provides healthy food options to Saskatoon residents for 30 years and counting. CHEP respectfully addresses the key barriers of accessing healthy food, most importantly cost, accessibility, and education. CHEP headquarters is located inside Station 20 West, on Treaty 6 Territory and the Homeland of the Mtis. The ED is a self- starter who works both independently and in partnership with external organizations in Saskatoon in a manner that meets stated objectives.  The successful candidate will lead and manage the organization according to the guidance, strategic direction, and policies set by the Board of Directors of CHEP Good Food Inc.
Your main roles and responsibilities include:
Leadership
Operational Planning and Management
Program Planning and Management
Human Resources Planning and Management
Financial Planning and Management
Community Relations/Advocacy
Risk Management
Co-management of Station 20 West.

Youll be a good fit if:

    You are a collaborative leader who has a passion for food security.
    You have a relevant degree in a related field.
    You have a minimum 5 years working experience, most recently in a managerial role.
    You have demonstrated skills in business and human relations.
    You have strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
    You have experience in a local voluntary sector organization.

Salary is negotiated with the board of directors, appropriate with qualifications and skills.

Anticipated start date: October 2020.
