Description

Superior Cabinets is currently seeking a Wood Processing Specialist to join our team in Saskatoon that will be responsible for being the key liaison between Engineering & Development and Manufacturing in regards to data flow, process flow, machinery interface, prototypes, product construction principles, standardization and simplification, as well as data collection, input and analyzation.

Responsibilities will include:
-Support Engineering & Development Manager/Portfolio Management group with new products prototyping and specifications
-Manufacturing liaison for development of new products and product improvements
-Plant support and training for new products and processes, including documentation (SOPs)
-Testing and validation of new product information
-Update and support documentation regarding engineering changes, including any special instructions for Designer, Operations and Install teams
-Update and maintain plant layout
-Perform manufacturing data collection such as time studies, data analysis and data input
-Update and maintain information relating to Engineering & Development in Superior Cabinets software (Insight) to complete engineering and process setups
-Participate in cross training and provide back-up support for Engineering & Development team members

Qualifications:
-A related technical degree or diploma from an accredited educational institution
-Previous experience in the cabinet or construction industry through previous employment and/or co-op program experience will be considered an asset
-Strong knowledge of manufacturing work flow and processes
-Strong problem solving and organizational skills
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Ability to work independently or in a team environment
-Ability to be flexible and adaptable
-Attention to detail to produce accurate results
-Strong computer skills are essential
