Description

The Saskatoon Housing Authority has a position vacancy with our maintenance team.  SHA's Maintenance Technician's are responsible for providing a high standard of maintenance, repair, safety & security in provincially owned properties managed by the housing authority. This position participates in a rotational on-call schedule and responds to after regular business hours calls and taking responsive action.  This position works closely with Site Caretakers, Support Technicians and contractors to ensure tenant needs are met within Housing Authority guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities:
-General maintenance service and repair, including minor plumbing, heating, electrical and carpentry
- Vacancy preparation
- Annual and Move-in inspections and tenant orientations
- Coordinates completion of work with contractors as required
- Assist Site Caretakers with maintenance items
- Offer one-day, same day service on all tenant work orders.

Qualifications:
-Grade 12 or equivalent
-1-3 years experience in general maintenance and technical training. Experience and/or a combination of education and experience may be considered provided all necessary certifications can be achieved
-Knowledge and ability to repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and mechanical
-Fireman's Certificate or willingness to obtain
-Ability to work outside of normal working hours
-Valid driver's license and use of roadworthy vehicle
- Criminal record check, basic security clearance documents will be required.
