Description

Baydo is an engineering-based land and real estate developer specializing in the design and construction of townhomes, apartment-style condominiums, and commercial developments and we are currently looking for a CPA Accountant to join our team.

Your responsibility will be managing multiple company's accounting functions, including establishing and maintaining internal controls, as well as the preparation of financial statements and reporting to senior management. You will also assist with the budgeting process and support the CFO with any special projects or ad hoc reporting. The position is full-time and can start immediately.


Key responsibilities:
    Oversight of all accounting operations including the review of journal entries, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and statutory reporting, providing advice and guidance on all accounting matters;
    Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements as well as company policies and procedures;
    Assist with the budgeting process and make enhancements where needed;
    Prepare, analyze and present monthly, quarterly and annual operating results for each operation;
    Prepare year-end working papers and work with the external auditors as required;
    Provide strategic analysis as required to drive improved decision making;
Key requirements:
    A university degree in accounting;
    Must possess a Canadian CPA designation;
    Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience;
    Proficiency with MS office, Excel, and QuickBooks.
    Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
