Viterra is seeking a Manager, Customer Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and operating a high volume grain handling facility, and conducting business on-farm within the market area.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the movement of grain with customers and market area staff.
Develop and maintain effective business relationships with current and potential customers.
Supervise, train, and conduct performance and development reviews with facility staff.
Meeting or exceed facility housekeeping and maintenance performance standards, and ensuring that a regular preventative maintenance program is fulfilled.
Ensure continuous improvement in the areas of employee health & safety and operations.
Knowledge and Skills:
Personable and willing to work with diverse and challenging customers.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proven leadership and management skills.
Proven experience in customer service or sales capacity.
Basic understanding of the Canadian Grain Industry.
Education and Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in agriculture or other sales related customer service functions.
Successful completion of an Agri-Business Certificate, or equivalent post-secondary education.
Must possess a valid class 5 drivers license.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered.
