Louis Dreyfus Company Canada ULC has an opening for a Canola Coordinator position at our canola plant in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. In this position, you will:
1. Build and maintain a customer base and producer relationships via face to face meetings, emails and telephone calls.
2. Attend producer meetings.
3. Procure canola and assist in its delivery, in coordination with the Procurement Manager.
4. Monitor regional crop quality and quantity.
The ideal candidate should have:
Extensive experience in agricultural sales and marketing
Strong understanding of crop quality, market intelligence and competition bids
The ability to make deals with producers, keeping in mind both profitability and volume requirements
Strong interpersonal skills and be a team player
Strong communication and computer skills (especially in MS Excel and PowerPoint)
Strong planning and organizational skills, which are needed to schedule grain and other deliveries in coordination with the Procurement Manager
It is preferred that the candidate has:
Five to ten years of experience in grain buying/coordination, storage and transportation
A university degree in agriculture
