Description

Tisdale Community Library requires an Assistant Librarian with enthusiasm and passion for developing library programs using creative approaches. Knowledge of computers and social media is required. Previous experience working with children and the public is an asset.

Duties
Accurate shelving of library material
Assist with developing library programs
Plan and conduct programs for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, school age children, teens and adults
Assist patrons with locating materials
Assist with the efficient operation of the library
Perform book repairs
Responsible for some evenings and Saturdays

Qualifications
Excellent oral, written and communication skills
Knowledge of computers and social media
Keen interest in books
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
Ability to work with the public
Completion of Grade 12
Provide a Criminal Record Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check
