Facility: LA RONGE SITE
Job Description: This position is located at the La Ronge Health Centre and will provide clinical and related services to individuals who are receiving services from the Emergency Department, Acute Care, RCMP and Home Care in order to facilitate and patient centered services. The position reports to the Manager of Mental Health and Addiction Services. Clinical supervision will be provided by the Clinical Supervisor - Mental Health Services  La Ronge.

Mental Health and staff within this unit work as a team and are accountable to each other.  Due to the varied needs of clients, staff rely extensively on external resources and often work in partnership with families, other caregivers, agencies, and organizations in the community.


Qualifications:
-    Bachelor degree in Social Work.
-    Membership in the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers.
-    A minimum of one year supervised post degree experience, preferably in a mental health or hospital setting.
-    Valid Saskatchewan Drivers license
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-    Familiarity with various mental disorders, their etiology and optimal plans for treatment and intervention.
-    Knowledge of community agencies and resources, services available, and intake procedures.
-    Ability to therapeutic services using a variety of treatment and educational approaches.
-    Ability to work effectively with individuals who may be acutely disturbed, their families, employers, and others in relation to goal setting and planning for discharge.
-    Ability to work collaboratively with affiliated agencies and services.
-    Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a close knit team.
-    Good organizational skills, effective written and oral communication skills.
