Duties:
This position is responsible for various administrative functions at City Hall and day to day communication with residents. Reporting to the City Treasurer, the responsibilities of this position may include but are not limited to:
Serving as a first point of contact for the public;
Processing invoices for payment;
Responding to property inquiries; and
Other administrative tasks
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be someone who is detail oriented with strong computer and record keeping skills, and is able to work effectively and professionally with the general public. Good oral and written communication skills are required, as is the ability to operate with high ethical standards and maintain confidentiality. A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required for this position.
Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given to applicants with post-secondary education in office administration, accountancy or business related fields.
This is a term position. Start date is as soon as possible. Term is to December 31, 2020, with the possibility of future extension.
Hours:
Normal hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Full time hours for this position is 35 hours per week. Some flexibility as a part time position may be possible, but full time is preferred.
