Do you have a passion for keeping families together? The Family Support program provides in-home support to parents who struggle with parenting and need temporary mentorship and support to parent successfully.
The Program Director must have a broad knowledge of and demonstrated experience with managing frontline staff.
Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Program Director of Family Support is responsible for managing staff, detailed administration and the overall success of the program. The successful candidate is also responsible to implement the continuous improvement goals of the agency, with a focus on data driven, outcome-based performance. The Program Director will embrace a vision of family-centred service and harm reduction and have a clear, integrated understanding of the systemic barriers and impacts of colonization that affect many families who struggle. Experience with supporting at-risk families is critical to success in this position.
Responsibilities
Ensure our service delivery is effective and focused on the goals of strengthening families and reducing barriers to success;
Ensure adherence to contracts, reporting requirements and internal policies;
Collaborate on continuous improvement;
Oversee human resources and employee training;
Assign duties and supervise all staff, including their performance in the field, and support staff to resolve complex problems;
Reporting on the operations and success of the program;
Create and maintain positive working relationships with partners; and
Monitor budgetary spending/Submit Payroll;
Requirements
Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work or equivalent;
Experience working directly with families who face barriers or knowledge of positive parenting (such as Triple P parenting;
Proven experience in management;
Adept at data collection and analysis; and
Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills
