Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall administration of both projects.
In collaboration with the project partners, develop and implement an effective media campaign to increase awareness Indigenous womens issues.
Assist with new programs and events, enhance existing programs and educating communities and the public on Indigenous issues.
Project recording and reporting, including data collection and note taking to the committees, director, and other appropriate partners.
Coordinate the participation, travel, logistics and related activities of the project and delivery sites.
Coordinate, organize and maintain all records associated with the project, training, and initiatives.
Maintain and update a master calendar, detailed records of activities, and workplan.
Act as a liaison for projects, including though not limited to:
o    AFCS staff
o    Project committees
o    Community Partners
o    Member Friendship Centres around the province
o    Indigenous communities
o    The public.
Deliver innovative methods of project education and awareness including in-person and online.
Assist in general office administration tasks.
Perform other grant related job-related duties as required or assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or a combination of education and work experience.
Demonstrated experience developing and conducting programs and training.
Knowledge about Indigenous womens issues.

Skills
Ability to work with diverse populations, especially Indigenous communities.
Ability to remain objective while having discussions around sensitive topics such as MMIWG2S+, interpersonal violence, racism, etc.
Strong written; analytic; interpersonal communications; public speaking; and time management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, honesty, and strong ethical reasoning.
Ability to travel provincially and nationally.
