Job Description: Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Executive Assistant provides confidential executive and project support to the Chief Medical Officer. The Executive Assistant will work in a complex and dynamic healthcare environment and is responsible to research, analyze and develop policies, briefings and proposals as required to support the Saskatchewan Health Authority's objectives. The Executive Assistant will ensure that the necessary processes are in place to support the efficient operation of the Chief Medical Office (Medical Leadership and Practitioner Staff Affairs) and the Quality, Safety and Strategy portfolio (Transformation, Patient Safety and Continuous Quality Improvement, Strategy and Performance, Indigenous Health) through accurate, timely and efficient execution of administrative coordination functions. The Executive Assistant plays a key role in liaising with internal and external contacts to promote the work of the Chief Medical Office. The successful candidate has a high degree of initiative and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The incumbent works closely, in a collaborative and co-operative manner, with members of ELT to assist in accomplishing the SHA's objectives. Collaboration, coordination, project management/organizational and communication is key to this role. The Executive Assistant has responsibility for overseeing one direct report.
Required Qualifications
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Undergraduate degree in administration, commerce or business and additional training in the use of spreadsheets, databases and word processing software
Experience
Minimum three years of experience working in a research/policy analyst or senior administrative assistant role
Supervisory and/or manag
