The seasonal Water Truck Driver potions requires a candidate that is reliable, responsible, and takes pride in the work they perform. Reporting to and following directions from the onsite Base Foreman, the Water Truck Driver is responsible for watering the roadways during base construction, pumping water into the truck, performing daily truck inspections and a variety of labour tasks including shoveling, raking, cleaning, lifting heavy objects (up to 50lbs), and various other hands on tasks. This position may require equipment operation from time to time- running compaction equipment, loader, or skidsteer. (H.J.R. will train).
The typical work schedule consists of approximately 12-16 hours/day for a 10-day hitch followed by 4 days off (hitch length may vary dependent upon weather and work load). Must be willing to travel across Saskatchewan and over night. Must be willing to work weekends and overtime.
Qualifications
-Minimum of Class 3A license
-HJR Asphalt Power Mobile Equipment Operator Certificate (will train)
-Preferable: to be comfortable operating heavy equipment such as the skid steer, packer, broom, loader
-Ability to work independently
-Good communication skills
-Physically and mentally fit
Duties and Responsibilities
-Report to the Base Foreman
-Perform daily safety inspections (circle checks) on equipment
-Perform daily maintenance on water truck & equipment
-Operate all equipment in a safe manner as per OHS legislation
-Partake in training as requested by the company
-Assists crew with other duties as necessary including hand work (shoveling, raking), traffic control, cleaning, and various tasks as necessary
