Based in one of the four (4) campus locations, The Manager Infrastructure Services reports to the Director IT Operations and ensures the infrastructure well-being of the IT organization. As a member of the Information Technology Services (ITS) management team, this position plays a key role in administrative leadership and strategic planning across the institution. The Manager Infrastructure Services will have three team leads in the areas of Endpoint Computing & Desktop Support Services, Network Services, and Systems. A total of 22 29 positions comprising of full-time, part-time, and student staff report directly and indirectly to the Manager Infrastructure Services.
The Manager Infrastructure Services role is to plan, organize, and manage staff and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of the organizations IT infrastructure. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, telecommunications systems, and endpoint computing technologies. The Manager Infrastructure Services will also schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
Travel is required between all Sask Polytech locations for administrative responsibilities, as well as travel provincially, nationally, and occasionally internationally to represent ITS and Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
