Description

Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Student Trainer is primarily responsible for training and supporting students to effectively use technology tools applied to facilitate the learning process.

Duties and Responsibilities
Educate Students
    Instruct students in learning how to use technology effectively within a blended learning environment.
    Consult with the Faculty Trainer to enhance understanding of how to best support student successful use of technology learning in a blended model.
    Develop training sessions to educate students who have varying levels of technological ability.
    Deliver training sessions in both a remote and a face to face format.
    Deliver training to improve digital literacy and to develop practical skills using Moodle, Teams and other technology tools for learning.
    Promote technology-enhanced learning.

Support Students
    Lead students through troubleshooting Moodle, Teams and other technology tools for learning.
    Provide on-going support to effectively use the technology learning tools.
    Respond to inquiries in a timely fashion.
    Cultivate a student-centered environment focused on student support, encouragement and continued skill development.
    Develop and maintain resources and documentation for ongoing student training.
    Collaborate effectively with all stakeholders; primarily the Faculty Trainer, IT and the faculty.
    Provide feedback to the Faculty Trainer regarding the students effectiveness using the technology tools for learning.
