Company Overview:

While going green might be the latest Hollywood trend, BN Steel & Metals (2002) Inc. (BN) has been recycling since the late 1960s. As a second-generation owned and operated company, we have used our foresight and ability to evolve to come one of Saskatchewans largest recyclers of scrap metal. The material we recycle ends up in many countries where the metal is then melted down and formed into consumer products, including but not limited to: automobiles, construction materials, computers, and cell phones.

We are seeking a Floor Supervisor to join our team. Please note that this role is a working supervisor role.
      
Key Responsibilities:  

    Delegates tasks to a team - from scale attendants, torch cutters, pile attendants, all the way to material sorting and processing  
    Leads/coordinates toolbox meetings and brings forward housekeeping items from management forward
    Identifies continuous improvement initiatives to be undertaken at BN
    Trains all new employees on BN's processes and procedures
    Pitches in where required to ensure business needs and customer satisfaction is being achieved
    All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
    5+ years of experience in the metal recycling industry is a must for this role
    Highly organized
    Proficient at the delegation of tasks
    Must be an "all hands on deck" type of individual and must be willing to pitch in where required to ensure all tasks are being completed
    Forklift certification is a strong asset
