Applications are invited for the position of JOURNEYPERSON PLUMBER or REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITIONING MECHANIC  FULL-TIME - REGULAR

THE POSITION
The Journeyperson Plumber or Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic will directly report to the Maintenance Supervisor.  The successful applicant will work collaboratively as part of the maintenance team to keep our facilities in good repair by ensuring all plumbing and HVAC work is completed according to the required standards and by providing assistance in other building maintenance areas.  This CUPE position starts August 24th, 2020.  The starting salary for this position is $34.12 per hour.

QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will:
Possess a Plumbing  or Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Journeyperson Certificate; Have a minimum of 5 years experience in the plumbing trade; Have, or be willing to work towards obtaining, a Firemans Certificate and WHMIS; Possess a valid drivers license.
A gasfitter license and related trades experience in all areas of building maintenance or construction will be considered an asset.

In addition, the candidate should:
Be a strong team member and good communicator; Be able to work independently with minimal supervision; Be well-planned and well-organized; Show evidence of being a life-long learner; Be flexible and willing to take on new challenges.
