Description

Assisting newcomer clients to Canada to overcome barriers towards self-sufficiency in career decision making, job search, employment planning, labour market attachment and job management.  

- Responsible for receiving clients, registration and program intake.
-Work with the Program Manager for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
-Client assessments.
-Create and maintain case/career management support for clients.
-Provide one on one counseling services to clients.
-Receiving and directing incoming telephone calls and walk-in inquiries.
-General cleaning in coordination with other PAMC staff and volunteers.
-Contributing to PAMC social media, such as Facebook and webpage.
-Promoting the agency's mission, values and objectives.
-Other duties as assigned by Executive Director and Program Manager.
-This position reports to the agency's Executive Director and Program Manager.

Qualifications:
-    A Post- Secondary degree in a related discipline and/ or equivalent work experience, a combination of education and experience will be an asset.
-    Strong facilitation skills with proven experience leading pre-employment, job search, career information, workshops and presentations
-    Experience in planning and delivering mentorship programs for youth and adults
-    Experiential Knowledge of labour market trend, job search strategies and job development
-    Superior oral and written communication skills and presentation skills
-    Proven ability to work effectively with diverse clients including new graduates, indigenous group and newcomers
-    Excellent time management and organization skills, able to work well with minimal supervision
-    Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check
-       Additional language skills would also be an asset
-    Access to a vehicle and a valid drivers license
