Elmwood Residences Inc. is an organization that provides support to adults with intellectual disabilities. We are currently looking for a PermanentLicensed Practical Nurse at Kinsmen Manor. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Ensure and provide high standards of personal care for residents through the orientation and supervision of Manor care staff
Encourage the development of each resident to his/her fullest potential
Provide on call assistance to Elmwood Community Home staff; this will include but is not limited to leaving the manor to attend to resident needs in the Community Homes
Staff for Community Home and Manor shift vacancies as needed
Make decisions and instruct staff in emergency situations
Ensure that all employees follow safe work practices
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be licensed and in good standing with the Saskatchewan Licensed Practical Nursing Association
Knowledge and experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities
Knowledge and experience developing and implementing program plans
Knowledge and experience supervising staff
Knowledge and experience administering a collective agreement
Hold a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 drivers license and good driving record. Out of province applicants may be required to submit Driver's Abstract
Clear current Criminal Record check including Vulnerable Sector search to be provided at time of interview.
