The North Service Area in Meadow Lake requires two Child Protection Workers to provide services under the authority of The Child and Family Services Act and The Adoption Act.
The successful candidates may be compensated mileage from their home location to Meadow Lake at the beginning and end of each week. Staff housing in Meadow Lake and meal allowance will be provided. Please note: Extensive travel is required while working in this position.
You will provide a range of services designed to provide protective, preventative and support services to children and their families using The Family Centered Case Management Model of practice.
In this position, you will be responsible for investigating allegations of neglect, physical or sexual abuse, and assessing family functioning, determining risk factors to the children's safety, implementing intervention plans and providing support services to the family, as required.
