Facility: NURSES ALUMNI WING
Job Description: This position will provide brief intervention services to youth who are presenting with acute psychiatric and psychosocial challenges. The Social Worker is responsible for the development and implementation of mental health strategies with youth in collaboration with parents/caregivers and community partners. The Social Worker will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to enhance the coping skills of youth during times of crisis and need. Services will be provided in both rural and urban environments using individual, family, and group strategies to promote healthy coping and resilience for vulnerable youth.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Social Work
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Experience
Expereince working with mental health difficulties and youth in both acute care and community settings.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Advanced interpersonal skills
Advanced organizational skills
Advanced leadership skills
Demonstrated competence and experience in providing clinical assessments and intervention services including the use of behavioural assessment tools.
Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with youth and their families during times of acute distress related to mental health.
Demonstrated knowledge of severe mental health and psychiatric issues related to youth including early psychosis, self-harm, depression, anxiety, and suicide ideation.
Demonstrated knowledge of child development, family systems theory, attachment theor
