Facility: Kindersley and District Health Centre
Job Description: Reporting to the Manager of Chronic Conditions and working within an interdisciplinary team approach, the Exercise Therapist is responsible for the development, modification and delivery of community-based, individual/group and home exercise programming for people with chronic disease (cardiac, diabetes, pulmonary) within the Region.
Required Qualifications
CPR Level C certificate
Valid Class 5 driver's license
CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist (CSEP-CEP)
Bachelors of Kinesiology
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Knowledge of related tools and equipment
Ability to develop, evaluate and modify programming provided to clients
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Advanced assessment skills
Advanced interviewing skills
Advanced time management skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to provide public/educational presentations
Ability to assess and monitor pulmonary patients including oxygen saturations and supplemental oxygen
Demonstrated understanding of Chronic Disease Management and self management models
Other Information
Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
Geographic Location: Multi-Site: Kindersley (home base), Rosetown
Expected Start Date: September 1, 2020
