*TASKS*
- Take care of a group of children
- Apply activity planning
- Ensure the safety of children
- Perform various tasks related to the proper functioning of the Center
*QUALITIES AND REQUIREMENTS*
- Hold or be in the process of obtaining a certificate in Early Childhood Education Education) level I, II, III or equivalent training.
- Provide a favorable criminal record check
- First aid and CPR / AED courses
Must be able to communicate in French
Children'S Ages
- 2 years
- 3 years
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- First Aid Certificate
- Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree
Early Childhood Education Skills
- Assess the developmental level of children
Additional Skills
- Maintain day care supplies and equipment
- Assist in housekeeping duties
Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills
- Observe children and report on observations to supervisor
- Guide children in development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
- Conduct and monitor activity programs designed for young children
- Arrange transition periods such as lunch and rest for children
Work Setting
- Day-care centre
- Before and after school programs
Ability to Supervise
- 11-15 people
