Group Home Worker

The Organization:
Founded in 1955 as the Lutheran Sunset Home of Saskatoon, LutherCare Communities provides excellence in care, housing, and community services within a nurturing Christian environment.  

The Position:
Duties and Responsibilities of Group Home Workers include three main areas:

Resident Care: Includes assistance of personal hygiene (bathing, toileting, dressing, eating
etc.)

Resident Programming: Includes the facilitation of resident daily living activities and
participation in the community.

Home Maintenance: Includes housekeeping, laundry and the preparation of meals and snacks

The Applicants:
Applicants would typically qualify through the completion of grade 12 with previous experience
working with developmentally challenged adults in a residential setting.  A Rehabilitation Worker Certificate/Diploma, Special Care Aide/Home Health Aide Course is preferred.  . Applicants must possess good interpersonal skills and be able to interpret, read, write and speak English fluently.

Requirements: Applicants must hold a valid class 5 driver's license and have a vehicle they are willing and able to use for work purposes.
