Pro Metal Industries is a 25 year old full service manufacturing and fabrication facility. Come join our team as we are evolving into a world class manufacturer for the military and defense industry. Having recently been accepted into the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, this is a very exciting opportunity.
We are seeking an full-time estimator to add to our metal fabrication team.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail with a comprehensive knowledge of metal fabrication processes such as welding, machining, forming and cutting. The estimator will have at least 3-5 years in the metal fabrication business in an estimating role. The candidate will have experience and knowledge in in detailed takeoffs and complete estimation of projects.
A combination of experience and education would also be considered in the following fields:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Machining, welding or general fabrication experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Prepare time, cost, materials and labor estimates
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats
- Work directly with customers to come up with innovative solutions to their design needs
- Identify manufacturing processes in order to create the final project
Pay will be determined based on experience and knowledge in metal fabrication.
