The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Environment and Biotech Division has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Program Lead. As the ideal candidate, you will oversee the quality assurance program within SRC Environmental Analytical Laboratories.
Accountabilities
Develop, implement and maintain a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) system to enable the laboratory to obtain a Drug Establishment Licence (DEL)
Oversee and maintain existing ISO 17025 accreditation in the laboratory
Interact with clients, certification or accreditation agencies and regulatory bodies to arrange and participate in audits
Interact with employees and supervisors to develop, revise and implement new and existing laboratory procedures and processes to ensure compliance with GMP/DEL requirements
Conduct reviews and audits to ensure laboratory methods and procedures are correctly documented and that processes are carried out appropriately
Review results of internal audits to ensure any necessary corrective actions are completed in a timely manner
Oversee and coordinate work tasks for the quality group
Qualifications
A diploma or degree in chemistry, biochemistry or other related science discipline
Five years of laboratory experience with at least two years of direct quality assurance experience
Detailed understanding of GMP and DEL requirements and the licensing process
Knowledge of and experience with ISO 17025 requirements
Knowledge of quality assurance principles and statistics
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Critical thinking, attention to detail and excellent organization and problem solving skills
