Position and Responsibilities
Camecos Key Lake operation is the worlds largest high-grade uranium mill. The mill operations team is responsible for the day-to-day activities involved in running this world-class facility. As one of the shift engineers, you will be responsible for leading and participating in the teams daily activities under the direction of the utilities general foreman. You will contribute to safely achieving production targets in accordance with approved operating and environmental procedures and plans. You will mentor and train team members in all areas of development.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
Valid second class power engineering certification
Minimum of five years of relevant work experience in boiler operation, process operation or electrical generation and distribution
Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Assets:
Previous supervisor experience
Previous acid plant operation experience
Safety is a top priority at Cameco. Successful candidates for all positions at safety-sensitive sites or in safety-sensitive positions must take and pass a substance test (which includes marijuana testing) as a condition of employment. Marijuana remains in a users system for about 30 days, so applicants who recently used marijuana recreationally should not expect to pass a substance test.
