Description

We are Growing! Join our Team #literacymatters

Our client, READ Saskatoon, addresses and supports the advancement of literacy and learning in our community. READ provides access to a range of literacy services for adults and families through the work of staff, trained volunteers and community partners.

Due to continued growth, we are searching for the next person to assist with our agencys volunteer management and lead our training and workshops. The Volunteer Coordinator oversees the agencys recruitment, retention, and management of volunteers. They provide guidance and support to READ Saskatoon volunteers to ensure the timely and coordinated planning and implementation of their involvement in all 4 areas of READ Saskatoons programs: adult, family, childrens, and financial literacy. This role includes training volunteers, ensuring commitments are being met, and participating in program evaluation.

The Literacy Facilitator and Trainer is responsible for program delivery that relates to adult literacy skills development, as well as the training of community staff throughout the city and province in READ Saskatoons programs.

In addition, they attend community meetings relevant to job responsibilities and provide guidance, support, resources, and tools to other literacy organizations in the province.
