Mistahi Sipiy Child and Family Services is seeking three (3) Emergency On-Call Workers. Emergency On-Call Workers provide after-hours emergency services to families. This position requires: investigate child abuse/neglect referrals; assess risk for child safety; be on a regular rotation for after-hours emergency services; and determine involvement and safety plans for families in crisis. You will be required to transport families and provide emergency aid to individuals in financial need. You will also be required to travel, work flexible hours, as well as lift and carry small children.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of Structured Decision Making
Knowledge and understanding of Big River First Nations culture and / or language
Knowledge of Child abuse, and neglect indicators and affects.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Grade 12 Diploma
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Maintain a drug and alcohol-free lifestyle
Maintain a clear CPIC with Vulnerable Sector Check
Maintain a class 5 driver's license and a reliable vehicle
Maintain Confidentiality Sign an Oath of Confidentiality
Preference given to Aboriginal Ancestry under E-96 of the Human Rights Code
WORKING CONDITIONS
Office Hours: After Work Hours
Location: Big River First Nation, SK.
Working Non-standard hours (holidays, evenings, and weekends) is required
Travel is required

Exposure to trauma informed content as it relates to Child Welfare
