Description

Regina Public Schools is seeking an energetic, experienced and progressive Superintendent of Human Resources and Workplace Diversity to lead all aspects of human resources strategy, recruitment and retention, labour relations, training and professional development, human resource business practices, workplace health and safety and compensation across our 57 schools and Division Office.
Key responsibilities:
Designing and leading strategic human resources initiatives that directly support priorities and goals for our organization, employees and students.
Implementing proactive strategies to recruit, retain and develop instructional/non-instructional staff.
Leading labour relations and building strong, professional working relationships with local teachers association, five union locals and non-unionized staff.
Developing an integrated program of orientation, on-boarding, training and continuing professional development to build culture of learning and growth.
Implementing sound business processes that ensure the integrity of human resources functions and leverage technology to improve efficiency and service.
Leading workplace health, wellness and safety initiatives encompassing physical and mental health.
Designing compensation and benefits policy to ensure competitive, progressive work environment.
Preferred candidate will have:
Minimum five years of senior level experience and demonstrated track record of success in all facets of human resource leadership in a large and diverse public-facing organization.
Collaborative, inclusive leadership style, constant focus on continuous improvement and accountability and adaptability to changing circumstances.
Ability to organize and lead project teams in design, implementation and completion of strategic human resource initiatives.
Undergraduate or graduate degree in human resource management or a related discipline and/or related certifications.
Understanding of the education sector would be a definite asset.
