Description

The Persons Living with AIDS Network (PLWA Network) is looking to hire a COVID-19 Support Worker. This position is being offered on a term position until March 31, 2021. The hours will be Appx.25 hours a week and wage will be based on experience.

The Covid-19 Support Worker will help facilitate services being provided and support by helping clients accessing the drop-in centre maintain social distance, regular sanitizing and disinfecting and providing drop-off care packages as needed. This person will also be responsible for preparing the take-out lunches we provide to our clients and other duties as required.

This person must possess a valid drivers license and own a reliable vehicle. They must also provide a criminal record check.

The ideal candidate may have
Strong communication/listening skills
Experience with addictions and/or street lifestyle
Ability to advocate/refer on behalf of a person with HIV and assist in accessing programs that will enhance their quality of life.
Basic computer/Internet skills
Knowledge of HIV, addictions and special needs.
