Reporting to the Manager of Business Development, this position is primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of strong, long-term relationships with potential employer partners while ensuring high-quality work experience opportunities for Cumberland College students. The successful candidate will work with the Leadership Council to connect with community business partners while developing new and enhance existing work-integrated learning program opportunities for students to connect with employers. This is a field position and, as such, the successful candidate must be willing to work according to the demands of the position, including evenings and weekends as approved by the Manager of Business Development. Since the successful candidate is required to provide services throughout the Cumberland College region, there will be the expectation that they partake in a great deal of travel.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum two-year post-secondary diploma in business or related educational program. A combination of education and related experience will be considered.
- Two years of related experience one of which will be experience in supervising others.
- Must be able to handle difficult situations and negotiate positive solutions.
- Experience working with persons challenged by multiple barriers to employment. These barriers may include but are not limited to the following issues mental health, physical health, addictions, financial, education, motivation, relational, behavioral, or a combination of these issues.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check will be required.
