Facility: Royal University Hospital
Job Description: Reporting to the manager, chronic disease management/exercise programs, the therapist is responsible for:  the development, modification and delivery of community based, individual/group and home exercise programming for patients with chronic disease (pulmonary, cardiac, diabetes);  providing individual/group exercise instruction and supervision; promoting continuing health professional education through effective communication, development of resource materials, and provision of in-service education.
Required Qualifications

CPR/AED Provider Certification
Automated External Defibrillator certification
Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Saskatchewan drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle
Experience
Requires a minimum of 100 hours of practical experience designing, prescribing and/or implementing Community based exercise programs for individuals with cardiovascular, pulmonary and/or metabolic disease. This can be obtained through the College of Kinesiology 429 "Cardiac Rehabilitation" class or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Knowledge of related tools and equipment
Ability to develop, evaluate and modify programming provided to clients
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Communication skills to transfer knowledge/skills
Time management skills
Knowledge of various medications and their potential effect on activity
Ability to identify cardiac arrhythmias and ECG abnormalities
Responsible for accurate documentation of client related documentation<
